Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our handcrafted artisanal brushes.
What makes Hakuhodo brushes different from other brands?
Our brushes are handcrafted in Kumano, Japan, using traditional techniques. Unlike mass-produced brushes, we never cut the tips of the hair, preserving the natural tapered ends for a uniquely soft feel and superior makeup application.
How should I clean and maintain my brushes?
For daily maintenance, gently wipe the brush on a soft tissue. When a deep clean is necessary, use lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Reshape the bristles and lay the brush flat to dry away from direct sunlight.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship our products worldwide via DHL and EMS. Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on the destination country and local customs processing.
Can I return or exchange my order?
We accept returns for unused and unopened products within 14 days of delivery. Due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on brushes that have been used or removed from their original packaging.
Why do some brushes have a natural scent?
Since we use high-quality natural hair, a slight scent may be present when the brush is new or damp. This is normal and will dissipate over time with regular use and proper ventilation.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, as well as secure payments through PayPal.
